How to Install Skype

In becoming a virtual assistant, communication is very important between the service provider and its client or should I say between the employer and the employee. Since being a virtual assistant requires a massive online communication, I decided to prepare a presentation on How to install "Skype" I am a fan of skype since I started to learn how to use it. Video Calling feature is so cool and on top of that is the ability to call on landlines and mobile phones anywhere in the world.


I am valorinda in skype and this is my tutorial on how to install skype on your desktop properly. I am using Google Chrome here as my browser so if you are using different browser, interface may vary.

My First Step - Create my VA email accounts

I have my personal email account on gmail, but to make it more organized, I decided to create two new email accounts: 1 from gmail and 1 from yahoo mail.

Why do I have to do this? Simply because I want to label myself as VAlorinda (Virtual Assistant Lorinda) and these accounts will be used when communicating with my future employers.

So here they are:

valorinda@yahoo.com for yahoo messenger

valorinda@gmail.com for gtalk and va services. This will be my main email in doing online services

I even created a facebook page for my services. Haha! Am I an addict or what! But really I did! Thought of it as a "Like Page" for my future satisfied bosses online. Also of course for my friends and colleagues who supports me with what I am doing right now. Heres the screen shot:

I am so excited about this VA thingy. I am really looking forward to serving and writing and promoting online. I am a super mommy, a powerful mommy and I can be the best virtual assistant ever! Hah!

THE START OF MY VA CAREER

Okay, I opened another blog. This one will be about my journey to being a virtual assistant. I am looking for an online job and I really wanted a work at home job..

Being a mother of two little girls, it is definitely hard to leave them alone and then go to work. But you know, having two growing kids means having your expenses raise every year. My first daughter is now in school and I definitely want the best school that I can afford for my child.

My present job aside from being a mom is an online entrepreneur. I sell prepaid credits online at PhilippinePrepaids.Com. I am also a blogger for over a year now and PinayMomJournal.Com is my personal blog. I also have my physical fitness blog IntoTheFinishLine which actually focuses on running as my favorite sports. My spiritual blog AgapeAndTheEternalBanquet is all about my life as a Christian, inspirational stories, and some reflections on verses, quotations and all.

At home, we have a variety store where I help my in-laws to manage. My husband is selling prepaid credits in there too.

So I basically have plenty of time working online and I am so into trying how to earn online by being a virtual assistant. I am so ready to work online, so motivated and so free. Well I just need to clear up schedule and make plans so that priorities will be truly prioritized.

I am so confident that I can do this. I have always been a team player and no one has ever had a problem working with me (Well as far as I know at least)

9 – 5 work isn’t for me since I have kids to attend to, but I know I have plenty of time more than that to fulfill my given tasks and finish it in no time.

Hopefully, some employers would try to hire me and give me a shot because there’s this fire burning inside me telling me to work online, be home based, and satisfy employers. Give out my best, share my knowledge and learn some more.

I am motivated, empowered, self driven, confident, excited and well-rounded.

I can do this. I am so damn READY!
